A mile south of Five Corners a red tail hawk sits on a power pole. Sharp-beaked. Sharp-eyed. A keening cry for breakfast.
North of Five Corners, above the highway, a congregation of crows, enough to fill a church.
I am driving old friend pick-up today while my wife has her car worked on and drives mine. It's a rougher, higher ride. You know where you are.
