The things people say.
As a listener, I sometimes think the trick is to just wait, and eventually one will here something memorable. The human creature is full of delightful improvisation. (But Ivan's in a completely different class by himself).

Not just humans, elck! "Nature" doesn't even exist except as a sort of ad-hoc committee.

Elck--this particular line, I think, comes from my dreaming, not from my eavesdropping. But wait - there will be other lines coming that do come from overheard conversations.
