NOT TO BE OUTDONE BY NAVY
THE MARINES STRIKE BACK:
"HOW TALL IS BUSH?"

Not to be outdone by the Navy,

which had come calling the night before, the Marines Googled "how tall is president" yesterday at 3:18 p.m. Yes, The Middlewesterner had a visitor with a usmc.mil address looking for the President's height, but the request came from the Mountain Time Zone. What's a Marine doing so far from the ocean? Not to worry, though, his service provider had a Maryland address.

Also, Doc Rock at WriteOutLoud reports on a visit from three marines - to the wine shop where she works; the visit was sweet and in-person . You can read about it here.

Doc Rock

The "president" may only be a shrub, but a former student of mine won some sort of prize that got him into the Oval Office for a photo op; said student is 6'4" and reported that whatsisname is actually "taller than I thought." I have contacted this student for particulars and will let you know. Meanwhile, go to www.anysoldier.com and see what you can do.
