13 miles is twice as hard as 11 miles: don't let anybody tell you different. I went out later than usual, I went out without taking along water, and halfway into the walk I was hurting. Fortunately Mary - even though she thought I had water with me - decided out of the goodness of her heart to bring me something cool to drink. I drank that, and drank all her morning coffee that she'd brought with her; so she said, "Do you want me to go get you some more?" She did. I drank that, and more of her coffee, then walked the rest of the way home. Yes, daughter, you were right! I will start taking the Camelbak water pack with me when I walk.

First day of use for the Camelbak water pack. It worked as it is supposed to, and did not present a burden nor any rubbing or chafing. I will use the Camelbak on my training walks as I continue my training.
Weight relative to starting weight: -13.
