Training walk: 6 mi., 1 hr., 17 min., 29 sec.
August 2
Training walk: 8 mi., 1 hr., 51 min., 43 sec.
August 4
Maintenance walk with Mary, 4 miles.
August 5
Maintenance walk with Mary, 4 miles.
T MINUS 7 WEEKS
The last day of the last week is the marathon itself. I am training to walk it.
Requirements this week: Day 1 = 5 mi.; Day 2 = 8 mi.; Day 3 = 5 mi.; Day 4 = 16 mi.
August 7
Training walk: 16 mi., 3 hr. 43 min., 40 sec. (On path from Florence, MT, to Lolo, MT, and back.)
T MINUS 6 WEEKS

Requirements this week: Day 1 = 5 mi.; Day 2 = 6 mi.; Day 3 = 5 mi.; Day 4 = 16 mi.
August 14
Training walk: 6 mi., 1 hr. 24 min., 5 sec.
August 15
Training walk: 18 mi., 4 hr., 19 min., 31 sec. Oh my god that hurts....
Weight relative to starting weight: -18
Wow, Tom. Impressive schedule. Substantial weightloss. So how are you feeling (apart from tired and stiff)?

Hi, Jean. You know the endorphin rush you get when you're walking can't be beat. I'm feeling great - my joints have never been better, my backaches have almost disappeared entirely. The only thin is, sometimes I get a little more sun than I would like. But, hey, it's great to be moving. I always consider the alternative....
