It rained last night.
A hazy sky this morning, blue showing through. I was out late last night, to Milwaukee, I laid abed til after 5:00 this morning, I'm sluggish even so.
The business of sunlight is to lay on things. Now and again it does. Brightness waxes, brightness wanes. The world takes strength like small gulps of water. I won't promise it will be a nice day; I am open to surprise.
The flag at the cemetery blows east to west. Near where the hawk tree stood, a field of peas shine thick and green. Everything is growing wildly, including the weeds. Fields of corn need cultivating.
A rim of clouds in all directions. Clouds and a haziness. Sun above the eastern bank of greyness, rising like cream.
