Well, folks, the album,
Fairy Tales & Nonsense by Trinity (Doc Abbick, Dean Schechinger, and Tom Montag) is now available, or will be later today!
And it is listed as an "Editor's Pick." Yuhaa!
You can go to CDBaby.com and read a bit about the album, here. Or better yet, you can listen to as much as two minutes of each of the twelve songs on the album:
1. Frog Prince
2. Brementown Musicians
3. Pied Piper
4. Cinderella
5. Red Riding Hood
6. Jack and the Beanstalk
7. Hansel and Gretel
8. Three Little Pigs
9. Snow White
10 Sleeping Beauty
11. Switchy [nonsense song]
12. Rapunzel
If you'll remember, I am the culprit who wrote the lyrics and I play bass on ten of the tunes; Dean Schechinger wrote the music, plays some guitar, and sings his killer harmonies; and Doc Abbick, good ol' Doc, God bless you, Doc, he sings all the lead vocals, plays the main guitar, and makes words and music sound utterly terrific.
We had a good time creating the album and, of course, we thought it sounded good, but we might prejudiced. Yet the album is an "Editor's Pick," did I mention that!
Go ahead, click on the link to Fairy Tales & Nonsense and take a listen. If you'll like what you hear, you can buy a copy right then and there; or better yet, buy two copies and get a 40% discount. You, too, can live happily ever after.
Say it with me: Yu-haa.
Wow! now these songs sound really great. Clever lyrics! (can't you just hear a toddler singing to himself about peaceable pigs?)

Hi, Slyph. Thanks. Yep, "We're peaceable pigs" and "You kiss a lot of frogs" both. My friend Julie said she almost drove off the road while listening to it in the car: that counts for something.

Thanks, Peter. I am still pinching myself....

I know from listening, and listening, and listening that the fantastic lyrics get stuck in your head - much to the detriment of your co-workers to which you warble them. And then there's the co-worker that steals my copy of the cd to listen for herself and then raves about it!! Perhaps I am just a tad biased, since I know where the lyrics were written! And I had the privilege to hear Tom sing them with such enthusiasm and excitement you couldn't help but want to get a final copy of the cd!!

Well, then, Jessica, there are times when the other daughter calls on the phone, and when you answer what you hear is: "We're peaceable pigs who live in the woods...." What's with that? And, yes, getting Doc's version of the songs in your head has to be greatly preferrable to hearing your Dad sing them!!

Tom,
Don't sell your singing talent short. I plan to have you do at least one solo on the train album. Oh - did I tell you I really, really like your lyrics?

Doc, we can try, but I don't know if it's possible to change a sow's ear into a silk purse. And, yeah, I've gotten the impression you like the lyrics. What do I like? Dean's music and your singing....

Oh?
Well, you just might be surprised by what a Peaceable Pig can do with a sow's ear.

Well, I know what Peaceable Pigs can do to Ol' Mr. Bad Breath, but it remains to be seen what they can do with a sow's ear. I'm with you for trying, however....
